Imprints of love, for the people of Mo'livos...

... and for Greece. For me and others to look at and share.
As far as I know, no professional photographer has ever made imprints of the people of Mo'livos and their intimate environment. Now Greek speaking Swedish photographer Johanna has.

I can not show any pictures included in her newly published photo book, "Ma'tia mou", meaning "My eyes". It is for herself to do in July, when she will come to Lesvos.
She came to the island the first time when she was two years old. I took some pictures on the premiére exhibition that I am allowed to show, of the book itself, the pro'logo by famous Greek author Theodoros Kallifatides and her dedications and thanks to her close friends.

The prólogo is in Swedish, Greek and English, thus available for anyone, wherever we come from! I will be the contact person for the photo book and I will tell all interested visitors to my blog, to contact me. The pictures really come close to you.

Greek is a language where a word or a combination of words can mean many things and often of deep emotional character. Like "Ma'tia mou". Outside of simply meaning "the eyes that I use to see with", it also symbolizes the real love I feel for some one or something. In this case, mainly for Greece and the people of Mo'livos....
