...yes, Summer is gone and Autumn as well, in "a while".

But time for a walk and coffee in the sun and touches of the not-so-long-ago

and smiling faces of gracious people. 

Winter still asleep, but knocking on the door and a message around the corner.

My terrific neighbor in the east...

Not all people in Finland would agree with me

when I talk about being good neighbors with the Swedes.

Nationalism has always been a pain-in-I-know-what. 

But it is difficult to deny our 700-year-old relation.

I guess it is a bit like brothers and sisters, fighting once in a while.

Here in Ekenäs, a village in southern Finland, that could be pictures taken anywhere in Sweden.

Two countries from the past, holding hands a bit...

It is difficult to leave someone or something you love.

But I always have the right to have a hope for a next time.

This incredible planet...

...never stops amazing me. From the Island of Islands, 

to a visit to the City of Cities,

to meet with friends first met in Molivos many years ago,

and real friendship never dies.

Of cities, nothing matches Rome,

where esthetic as well as worldly experiences do not have an end.

For me, always a place so hard to leave, but I will be back...
