Winter, blessed Winter...

Last night was one of these nights I miss during the Summer.
I rarely see my good friends when the tourists are here.
We are all busy working, day in and day out.
In the Winter we say, "how great to see you, friend".
This part of the year is for social gatherings, eating, drinking, laughing a lot,
singing and dancing and then all over again.
No award winning color correct and sharpness photos last night,
but pure joy at it's very best and I am still warm inside from waves of friendship...

A bit of pain but always witty...

She is like a Swiss watch.
Always there and have something to talk about when I or anyone passes by
and she has been there for as long as I can remember
and most probably for longer before then.
A bit of pain in old limbs when cooler winds are going,
does not prevent her from being there in all weathers.
The harbor needs her.

Before all hell broke loose...

A rather warm and windy November Sunday in peaceful village harbor,
coffee with chatting friends in favorite café,
sun coming out, sun covered by clouds and
blue green choppy waves indicating what might be around the corner...

Quiet and tranquil...

...I can hear my own steps, when walking in the village.
It is all quiet and the light has this vague language of haze.
Time to grill sardines on the fire and hybernate a bit...

Moments in Athína...

...walking around on an inch of this huge city,
it shows at least a bit of all it's varieties.
Few tourists, rain shining streets, grief and poverty
and a fading Fall...

It makes my heartbeat galloping...

...the incredibly emotional west coast of this country,
shifting from storms to tranquility,
from the faint rays of sunshine, to threatening clouds of approaching rain,
the rocky waves of the Atlantic, to mirror calm waters of the morning silence,
and poetic moments by the desk looking out. A conservation of a focus within,
touching similarities of my Lesvos island....
