The very opposites, but all the same...

I have never been particularly religious as such.
But always deeply fascinated by the creative language of all of us who are believers in something.
The deep impressions of creating hands and minds, never mind the background.
With totally different expressions of harmony and piety
from opposite parts of the world.
It is all emotional with  deep simplicity, with different faces but same goal.
I prefer what is uniting me with others, rather than what is splitting us up...

Of course not!
I will never leave the beloved island of Lesvos.
It is my home and workplace!!!
But I also find new angles to look out from
and other paths to walk,
but with Lesvos as the starting point.
It simply gives me a bit more of space to move around in.
You are of course more than welcome to come along...

A matter of minutes... was that necessary day of a return and sometimes I have to leave
to know how to come back and experience the novelty again
and how deeply I carry this within me.
I open up the windows and see these colors, that light
that is seldom there and it was a matter of a few minutes, and five in between these two photos
and it was not even time for the real camera,
but the colors turned out exactly this way
and how they surprised me that early, with it's mysterious message....

Breathtaking Winter days gossiping...

... expectations in the air,
backlight frames waiting for the rain,
buds on almond trees,
long shadows, a staying light
and Ελένι, you miracle,
knocking me off the ground,
opening doors for light and days to come.

A day that will stay...

Many days are passing by, one not so different from the other. Some days are staying, seldom leaving.
Yesterday was one for which the bell still tolls and so imminent of new times to come. A warm sun in the face,  this incredible yellowred light on everything down in the harbor, coffee with friends and small talk and jackets off and a peacefully resting cat and the cooking at night, leaving a deep imprint of something important that had happened. Amazing, since after all, it was just another Tuesday...

Walking the village...

Quiet but never empty.
Always something new around the corner.
Walking the streets and alleys of Molivos,
is like a contemplation.
Meeting with a sleeping beauty...
