The road to better times...

I do a lot of exploring of the island and its people, on motorbike preferrably. Sometimes with an equally curiose friend, or on my own. On my way through a no-mans-land, I found this once-upon-a-time useful bank bus, owned and used by National Bank of Greece, serving people in villages around. A kind of sevice to your door step thing! This jewel has lost its purpose and stands as a symbol for the domestic struggle with money we all need to have to survive! Now I hear signals of light in the end of a tunnel and a new road to heaven, even if it does not show what will be around the corner. Nothing ever does. But the last thing we lose is Hope...This picture could never be shot in any other country but Ελλαδα...

  1. Why don't you resurrect that bus from the dead and start collecting deposits around the island. Use the jingle from the "hemglass" truck in the alleys and you can't fail :)

  4. I am happy YOU survived better than the bus, but even if it is where it is, I love the bus!
