Platía, a place for intimacies...

Α Platíα simply means a square, both geometrically as well as a place where people meet. All villages or towns have a platía. In Molyvos, it is also the place for a restaurant, Tropicana, owned by Yannis and Taxía, well known people among the locals as well as by other visitors. Very common is the platano tree  in the middle, giving the square a much needed shadow during hours of hot summer days. Peaceful during the day as well as during the night, shops of various kinds and kids running in and out of different homes. A dream for any child to grow up around here with lots of mothers and fathers available! The platía in Molyvos is more than worth a visit, any time during the day. Bring a book! Have a coffea!
I love it's different faces of the day and night, and as you know by now, light means a lot to me.....
