An incredible woman... not just on a Tuesday...

Taxía Koskiná is a well known person among many, locals as well as foreigners. It could be because of her Lesvian kindness and sweetness and her natural way of being service minded, but I decided not to be charmed by only that. I was interested to understand how you run a family of five the way she does (together with Yannis, her husband) as well as being active and full of energies. All the time! I decided to talk to her about her normal work day. You can count the hours yourself:
08.00am, out of bed and wake up the family for morning family habits.
09.00am, starting office work at Alonia Holidays with Vangelis and Joyce. Hard work there, telephones, bookings, changes of reservations, meeting cients. Finishing around 3.30pm. Back home to take care of the kids for a few hours and then preparing herself for the work at the family´s restaurant, Tropicana at the Platía of the village. Being the hostess there, serving food and chatting with all returning guests from past years, who all want their time with her and reassuring new guests that they have chosen the right place for a pleasant evening. Lots of work till the early hours of the morning!
Closing the restaurant with colleagues and then an hour or so with Yannis, to go through the day and just be together. Then sleep comes quickly. A few hours later, time to get out of bed again...
This goes on day in and day out and she is not the only woman working like this during the hectic time of summer, but she is the one I know best. Respect and admiration are only a few of all words that pop up in my mind...
